Yesterday was somewhat of a turning point for me. I was inspired and felt as though I'd perhaps stumbled upon the direction I want to go in. So here is today's painting - still in progress. Acrylic on wood. More to come.

It would seem today is a good day for progress. Today's practice board, clockwise the days evolution.

Continuing with the painting theme, in hopes that eventually I will get a grasp of my own style. I actually feel as though perhaps I've come to a turning point with the coloured imagine. More painting.. practice and play to be done.
I'm even considering taking a brush to the streets. I think a nice blank wall would make a wonderful canvas for one of my ladies.

Painting.. me?!

Soo.. This would be my first attempt at painting. It's a little rougher than I'm wanting - but using oils at this point is not an option for me.. I simply don't have the space to wait for it to dry until I have a studio space. However, acrylics will be a learning curve and I'm fairly pleased with the outcome.

A few more 'inspired' or 'stolen' drawings from various artists - I see this as a way to practice and get inspired.

Welcome to what is, my first ever blog, and indeed blog entry. The purpose of which is to share (with whom ever may be interested) my current illustrative works as they unfold. Let's start with the image that started this current mission of mine... 'Horns'.
Inspired by - as most of my recent works are - the absolutely amazing - also wonderfully illusive - artist that is Chiara Bautista. If you have time I recommend you have a read of this article and view some of her works.
